Dracul

"I was their most devoted warrior; A Champion of Light!

But I fell.

Fell into darkness...

and now…

I am feared, as The Prince of Darkness..."

I wanted to draw Gabriel in a before and after shot. The left features Gabriel Belmont as he was, and the right features what he became afterwards, the dragon Dracul, who is known by the people as Count Dracula. The left shows more his human side with tears while his right side features his darkness with bloody tears and very pale and macabre looking skin.

I wanted to show emotion on him to express his feelings towards the world since he sacrificed everything for humanity, only to lose his own. He blames God for everything, only to learn that fate isn't always meant to be beauty or perfection. Sacrifices must be made sometimes. I was really glad that he learned redemption in the end.

The ending was unknown to me, but I like to think that he was re-united with his wife and son in Heaven.
